Position: Residential Support Specialist/Crisis Intervention Specialist

Compensation:
$20.81/hr - $21.85/hr

At Washington County Mental Health Services, we provide a variety of residential support frameworks designed to cater to the distinct needs of each resident. A typical day for a Residential Support Specialist includes:

  • Applying individualized strategies to meet personal needs
  • Assisting with daily living activities, health, wellness, and fostering independence
  • Planning community activities aligned with individual interests
  • Honoring personal decision-making and autonomy
  • Delivering personal and medical support as required
  • Ensuring safety while promoting growth and self-sufficiency

Moreover, staff may also be tasked with transporting clients to various appointments, aiding in communication assessments, and collaborating with families and professionals to ensure consistent care.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and dependable vehicle
  • Proficiency with technology
  • Preferred experience in supporting individuals with disabilities
  • Capability to manage physical interventions and de-escalate challenging situations
