Job Summary

Soar Autism Center is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team. As an OT at Soar, you will work with children aged 2-6 years in a center-based setting, focusing on autism. Your expertise will be invaluable in crafting interventions to improve gross motor, fine motor skills, feeding practices, and daily living activities tailored to the needs of children with autism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement naturalistic occupational therapy for children with autism
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with other clinical areas, including co-treatments with speech therapists
  • Mentor and guide a team of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to integrate OT goals into their therapy
  • Monitor client progress, update treatment plans, and communicate necessary adjustments to team members and families
  • Collaborate closely with families of children with autism, setting goals, building relationships, and providing coaching and support
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy with a focus on pediatrics or a similar field
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience working with children with autism or related developmental disorders
  • Strong understanding of and commitment to early intervention and integrated care approaches
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
