Job Summary:

Exceptional Children's Foundation is seeking a skilled Vocational Coach to provide individualized vocational training to consumers with varying degrees of learning, behavioral, emotional, and developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching/coaching/instructing individuals with developmental, learning, emotional or physical disabilities in a direct client service position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist case management staff in the development and implementation of the vocational plan for each consumer.
• Develop daily work schedules of tasks to be performed by consumers and monitor for quality and completion.
• Circulate in consumers' work area at least 80% of workday and maintain detailed and accurate records/progress notes on consumer work habits, skills, behaviors, etc.
• Act as a role model and teach job tasks to consumers and monitor quality control of work performed.
• In consultation with supervisor handle job site complaints and problems.
• Develop working knowledge about job site company policies, work duties and responsibilities.
• Ensure quality control standards of job site contract specifications are maintained.

Requirements:

• One year teaching/coaching/instructing individuals (preferably adults) with developmental, learning, emotional or physical disabilities in a direct client service position.
• Ability to perform various job tasks i.e. janitorial, food service, and clerical in order to demonstrate for consumers.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and adapt to schedule changes.
