Job SummaryThe Department of Teacher Education is seeking adjunct faculty members to teach courses in the program areas of Early Childhood, Elementary, Special Education, and Secondary Education. These courses are offered in-person, hybrid, and online, with experience in all three instruction methods preferred.
Responsibilities- Teach courses in the program areas of Early Childhood, Elementary, Special Education, and Secondary Education.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of curriculum.
- Supervise students in field and clinical experiences (practicum and internship).
- A Master's degree (or higher) in teaching or a teaching field related to the program area for which employment is sought.
- Recent teaching experience in the program or related field.
- Proficiency in the use of basic instructional technology.
- Knowledge of State and Federal laws and regulations concerning FERPA, Section 504, IDEA 1997 amendments, and the ADA.
- Excellent interpersonal and human relations skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
