Job Overview

Banyan Search is conducting a search for a Senior Accountant to join an exceptional client's Financial Reporting team due to organizational growth. Our client offers a range of benefits, and this role will play a crucial part in the team's success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Prepare journal entries and analyze general ledger accounts to identify trends and variances.
  • Perform variance analysis to understand financial results and provide analytics as needed.
  • Collaborate with business partners to understand financial results and provide insights.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required.
  • Lead process improvements to streamline workflow and enhance accuracy.
  • Develop accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Provide information to internal and external auditors and maintain internal controls.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • 3+ years of accounting-related experience, with at least 2 years in public accounting.
  • CPA certification is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of organization and experience with internal controls framework and monitoring.

This is a hybrid position, and all candidates must reside within driving distance to Winston-Salem, NC, as in-office work will be required 1-2 times a week.
