Host/Hostess Opportunity at The Woodall

We are seeking a skilled and charismatic Host/Hostess to become an integral part of our team at The Woodall. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the main point of contact for our guests, guiding them through a seamless and memorable experience every day.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate effectively with managers and chefs to receive updates on food and beverage features and station assignments.
  • Prepare and set assigned sections, including booths, community tables, and the patio, to ensure a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
  • Maintain the reservation book, assign server sections, and confirm seating flow to ensure a smooth dining experience.
  • Confirm reservations for the following day and add guest notes of preference and requests.
  • Place table settings and silverware rolls at each place setting to prepare tables for guests.
  • Inspect the building exterior to identify areas that require immediate cleaning.
  • Organize and maintain the restroom cleaning schedule.
  • Perform additional duties, including emptying trash and cleaning restrooms, to ensure The Woodall is organized and prepared.
  • Execute The Woodall's top priorities: Door, running F&B, and answering phones.
  • Greet guests, introduce yourself, and present menus to welcome them.
  • Answer questions guests may have regarding food and beverages.
  • Run food from the expo to guests.
  • Anticipate guests' needs to add value to their experience and promote repeat business.
  • Listen to guests' complaints and comments and inform the manager.
  • Thank guests, bid a fond farewell, and invite them to return as they leave The Woodall.
  • Sweep floors in the dining area, lobby, etc., to maintain cleanliness.
  • Monitor dining room tables to ensure they meet or exceed standards.
  • Prepare tables for each party of guests by removing dirty dishes and linens, sweeping the floor, and resetting the table with fresh paper and clean dishes.
  • Carry dirty dishes, glassware, and silverware out of the dining room and bar to the dish area for cleaning.
  • Assist other team members and guests as needed to ensure teamwork.
  • Inspect and maintain restrooms by replenishing toiletries, wiping down surfaces with a sanitized cloth, and cleaning up spills.
  • Ensure tables are set and the dining room is immaculate before the start of the next shift.
  • Complete all closing duties, including stocking, cleaning, etc., as assigned.
  • Check out with a manager before leaving to ensure all duties and side work have been completed and performed to standard.
  • Read the work schedule to determine when the next shift and work time will occur.
