CSS Supervisor

At Yale New Haven Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CSS Supervisor to join our team. As a CSS Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our Central Sterile Supply department.
Responsibilities:- Administrative and Operational: Develop and revise department policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Staff Scheduling and Budget Responsibility: Develop staffing practices that meet the changing needs of customer areas and maintain a posted schedule.
- Training and Performance Assessment: Develop internal and external training programs to qualify staff for certification requirements.
- Employee Relations: Investigate incidents of incomplete or incorrect performance and provide documentation.
- Materials Coordination: Oversee the daily inventory of OR Case Cart supplies and ensure uninterrupted flow to the OR.
- Education: Associate, B.S. or B.A. degree in Arts or Science, preferably in a healthcare-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: Minimum of two years supervisory experience in a Central Sterile Supply or OR environment, with extensive knowledge of instrumentation, OR medical and surgical supplies, and OR/CSS operations.
- Special Skills: Interaction and development of relationships with surgeons and staff, independent decision-making, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
