Job Summary

The Dishwasher is a vital member of our kitchen team, responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. This includes washing and sorting dishes, prepping foods as needed, and ensuring that all food storage and cleaning activities are conducted in accordance with sanitary procedures and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean kitchen, including washing and sorting dishes, and prepping foods as needed.
  • Keep the dish area free of clutter and organized.
  • Set up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks.
  • Maintain clean and dry floors throughout the shift.
  • Properly wash, stack, and store china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers.
  • Change water in machines and sinks every two hours, or more often as required by business levels, and properly use chemical dilutions.
  • Assist in the timely storing of food deliveries.
  • Maintain trash cans throughout the shift and remove full trashcans and boxes at the end of each shift.
  • Maintain the dry storage area and the organization of storage shelves.
  • Follow the posted daily dish cleaning duties.
  • Assist in food prep and any other duties set forth or requested by the chef as needed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in fine dining hospitality and/or casual dining restaurant.
  • Able to multi-task.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift 25 lbs., and bend, climb, or work in confined spaces.
  • Organizational and time management skills and demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
