Central Ozarks Medical Center (COMC) is seeking a Director of Operations to enhance our operational efficiency and lead our daily business functions. This pivotal role requires a strategic and experienced leader capable of driving operational excellence across various departments including Medical, Dental, Behavioral Health, Pharmacy, and Optometry.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Director of Operations will:
- Support the Chief Operating Officer in executing the organization’s healthcare strategies and operational policies.
- Oversee the management of practice locations, ensuring seamless integration of clinical and administrative systems.
- Facilitate effective communication among physicians, clinic managers, and department heads to promote quality and efficiency.
- Evaluate existing systems and procedures, recommending enhancements to optimize workflow and reduce costs.
- Direct daily operations across all health center sites, ensuring maximum productivity and efficiency.
- Monitor provider schedules to maximize patient encounters and service delivery.
- Assist clinic managers in providing necessary support to clinicians.
- Implement departmental goals and performance metrics to drive accountability and financial success.
- Initiate corrective action plans as needed to address performance issues.
- Travel to various clinic locations to foster positive relationships and provide leadership.
- Coach and mentor staff to develop successful practices and enhance patient retention.
- Collaborate with facility management to maintain operational standards and equipment functionality.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal quality guidelines across all clinics.
- Work with clinic managers to enhance financial performance and improve cash collection processes.
- Support office managers in achieving productivity targets and managing staffing effectively.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to meet clinic objectives.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and support quality management efforts.
- Lead the clinic management team, overseeing hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Maintain adherence to patient privacy regulations and safety protocols.
- Analyze staffing needs and provide necessary training to optimize team performance.
- Act as a liaison between executive leadership and frontline staff.
- Engage in grant-related activities as required.
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare management; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Experience in project management and facilities operations.
- A minimum of three years in a supervisory or senior management role, ideally within a healthcare environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
- Analytical skills to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
