This department operates as a specialized medical unit equipped with telemetry, aimed at alleviating the pressure on the Emergency Department by managing patient admissions. The role involves overseeing the admission process and ensuring continuity of care until an inpatient bed becomes available. The ideal candidate will showcase proficiency in medical and surgical nursing, demonstrate the ability to work independently while anticipating patient needs, and effectively collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in response to changing patient conditions. Strong communication skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Key Qualifications:
- BSN is mandatory or a commitment to achieving a BSN within three years of employment.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care setting.
- BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred (must be willing to obtain post-hire).
Position Details:
This is a part-time position with night shifts, consisting of 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, including every third weekend and rotating holidays.
