About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at Pinnacle Treatment Centers. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in helping individuals overcome addiction and achieve a healthier, more fulfilling life.

Responsibilities
  • Orient new patients to our program's rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide individual and group counseling sessions.
  • Monitor patients' progress, identify areas for improvement, and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Document patient interactions, progress, and treatment plans in our electronic health record system.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 0-2 years of experience in counseling or a related field.
  • A degree in a relevant field, such as human services or psychology, or a certification in counseling or a related field.
  • Registration or certification as a counselor in the state of California.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
