As a Dish Room Operations Manager, you will oversee the daily operation and management of the dish room area, ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently. Your success will depend on your ability to receive and distribute delivery items, manage volunteers, maintain cleanliness, and provide excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the dish room operates according to Health Department standards, including receiving and distributing delivery items, managing volunteers, and maintaining cleanliness.
- Cross-train in all aspects of food services, including food preparation, cleaning, utility duties, serving meals, and preparing partner site meals when needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers and work collaboratively with the food services team to achieve departmental goals.
Requirements
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with prior experience in food service. You must be able to communicate effectively in English, orally as well as in writing, and demonstrate a heart for the ministry of serving poor and homeless families. We value candidates who can work independently and take initiative to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
