About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Site Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for executing company WHS policies and ensuring compliance with all applicable local and regional regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with site-level operations teams to execute company WHS policies and ensure compliance with local and regional regulations.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk in Amazon's processes.
  • Develop and implement safety training programs for operations leadership and site WHS professionals.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to incorporate safety standards at their sites.
  • Develop a team of safety managers and safety professionals at your designated site.
  • Measure site performance against published requirements in safety policies and identify plans for implementation and correction.
  • Ensure safety record keeping and data integrity and provide accurate reporting and metrics to support business safety initiatives.
  • Deliver on-time and quality projects to Operations.
  • Deep dive safety metrics and review incident trends to discover areas for improvement.
  • Audit record keeping practices and Global Safety Database entries to ensure compliance with global safety standards and local regulations.
  • Manage and mentor the Safety Managers and Safety Associates in your assigned site.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 7+ years of increasing responsibilities in safety and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations.
  • 7+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic organization.
  • Interest in long-term career development through assignments in multiple FCs across the nation.
  • Prior experience in a management development training program.
