Leading Systems Security Specialist for Top-Secret Projects

About the Role
">We are seeking a seasoned Information System Security Engineer II (ISSE) to join our team at Intelliforce, a leader in delivering innovative solutions to complex challenges in defense and technology. As part of our exciting new PRIME effort, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our systems throughout their lifecycle.
This highly technical position requires a strong background in security engineering, with expertise in conducting security assessments, enforcing compliance with established Information Assurance (IA) standards, and developing mitigation strategies. You will collaborate closely with architects and developers, embedding security features into operational systems, and contribute to the design and implementation of secure architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct technical security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and non-compliance with IA standards.
- Design, develop, and integrate security systems across multiple enclave environments with varying classification levels.
- Build security features into operational systems to ensure compliance with IA and security policies.
- Assist architects and developers in selecting and implementing appropriate security controls.
- Provide security planning, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies throughout the program lifecycle.
- Assess and mitigate system security risks, enforce secure external system relations, and support the building of security architectures.
- Review Certification and Accreditation (C&A) documentation and provide feedback on compliance.
- Support security authorization activities following NSA/CSS NISCAP, DoD DIACAP, and NIST RMF frameworks.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 14+ years of experience as an ISSE on programs of similar scope and complexity.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline (or 4 additional years of ISSE experience in lieu of degree).
- CISSP certification required and DoD 8570.01-M compliance with IASAE Level 2 required.
- Experience in implementing IA principles (confidentiality, integrity, non-repudiation, availability, and access control).
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to engage across technical and non-technical teams.
- Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Compensation and Benefits:
The estimated salary for this position is between $160,000 and $211,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, we offer a range of benefits, including generous PTO, multiple medical plans, and a 401K contribution plan with immediate vesting.
