The Medical Services Provider will be responsible for the provision of medical services to patients, as well as supervision and operation of the nursing department under the guidance of the Medical Director and the Program Director.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, CARF Standards, and policy and procedure.
- Support day-to-day nursing staff in dispensary, provide knowledge transfer as appropriate, provide patient and staff education.
- Prescribe medication and ensure appropriate dose (as allowed by law).
- Admit patients and ensure safe induction to a therapeutic blocking dose.
- Medical exams, monitoring, referrals, and reviews.
- Ensure complete and accurate documentation in patient record.
- Attendance at administrative team meetings.
- Monitor/supervision of medication dispensation.
- Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in MA.
- Minimum of one year experience with psychiatric/mental health/substance use treatment services.
- Understanding of addiction treatment.
- Ability to work without direct supervision.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to be adaptable/flexible in a busy environment.
