Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer to join our team of IT professionals. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Guidewire PolicyCenter, ContactManager, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter, as well as excellent technical skills and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Guidewire-based solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Supervise the customization and configuration of Guidewire PolicyCenter, ContactManager, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter.
  • Provide technical expertise in Guidewire applications to ensure efficient performance.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to collect and analyze requirements for Guidewire implementations.
  • Ensure the integration of Guidewire solutions with existing systems and third-party applications.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to ensure alignment to best practices and coding standards.
  • Fix and resolve issues related to Guidewire applications in a timely manner.
  • Participate in the design and development of new features and functionalities for Guidewire products.
  • Maintain documentation for all Guidewire-related development and configuration activities.
  • Deliver training and support to end-users on Guidewire applications.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of Guidewire systems to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Lead efforts to upgrade and patch Guidewire applications as needed.
  • Supply to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Possess a demonstrable experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter, ContactManager, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter.
  • Demonstrate deep technical skills in Guidewire applications and their customization.
  • Exhibit excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Have experience in Life and Annuities Insurance is a plus.
  • Show proficiency in integrating Guidewire solutions with other systems.
  • Display good social skills to collaborate efficiently with multi-functional teams.
  • Demonstrate the ability to deliver training and support to end-users.
  • Have a track record of maintaining documentation for development activities.
  • Skills Required- Gosu, Guidewire PolicyCenter, Java Version 8, Web services, Database design/SQL, XML/JSON, SOAP and Rest Web services
  • Demonstrable understanding of PolicyCenter system

Compensation and Benefits:

The annual salary for this position is between $40,040 – $90,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
