Flight Paramedic Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flight Paramedic to join our team of air transportation experts. As a Flight Paramedic, you will play a critical role in safely transporting patients to and from medical facilities, as well as providing pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care.

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame.
• Perform daily base checks, including narcotic counts, to ensure the highest level of safety and efficiency.
• Provide advanced life support care to patients, maintaining thorough documentation and adhering to high safety standards.
• Participate in ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences to maintain competency in knowledge and psychomotor skills.
• Maintain accurate documentation of licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and advanced procedures in the Employee Education Manual.
• Stay up-to-date on the use and routine maintenance of all equipment and supplies used by emergency programs.
• Develop and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public.
• Function as a medical flight member, attending pre-mission briefings and mission debriefings, and completing necessary documentation.
• Assist with pre-mission liftoff checklists and provide support to pilots as needed.
• Comply with safety standards to ensure the safety of self, medical personnel, patients, and equipment prior to liftoff.
• Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed.
• Fulfill open or vacant shifts within assigned areas as deemed appropriate by the Regional Director.

• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in an ALS or critical care setting required.

• Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status. Trauma certification within 12 months of hire required.
• Advanced Certification (FP-C) preferred, required within 24 months from date of hire.
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned areas.
