Job Overview

Kingspan Light + Air is a leading innovator of high-performance daylighting solutions for building envelopes. Our team is seeking a skilled Production Manager to oversee the manufacturing process and ensure the highest quality products.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the manufacturing of aluminum framing and glazing products meets or exceeds company standards for quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery. Additionally, the Production Manager will be responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to OSHA, ICC, UL, and NFRC standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Inspect machinery and equipment to ensure proper usage and maintenance.
  • Accurately report and document floor changes and corrections on shop orders.
  • Manage daily shipping schedules and communicate changes to relevant personnel.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Anticipate and resolve team breakdowns resulting from change, and promote the benefits of change.
  • Participate in cross-training activities with the framing and glazing fabrication team to ensure process continuity.
  • Oversee packaging and crating of products to ensure safe and secure transportation.
  • Communicate effectively with department employees and provide performance feedback and coaching.
  • Issue timely disciplinary action in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Coordinate processes and materials to ensure on-time delivery and meet customer expectations.
  • Focus on continuous improvement and safety objectives in conjunction with the Plant Manager.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in a production supervision role, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge and experience in safely operating saws, notching, drilling, and other manufacturing machinery.
  • Ability to use and understand basic measuring instruments.
  • Ability to count accurately and record production data.
  • Ability to safely operate an electric or propane-powered sit-down forklift and overhead crane.
  • Experience working with integrated manufacturing software.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Bilingual abilities a plus.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
