The Clinical Technician 2 is responsible for delivering direct patient care for those with predictable care needs, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role emphasizes maintaining professional competencies and seeking avenues for professional growth. Effective communication and collaboration with team members, patients, and their families are essential. The Clinical Technician also serves as a preceptor and superuser for new staff members.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse for routine and standardized care requirements.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and families, fostering a cooperative work environment.
- Assist unit leadership in managing educational records for Clinical Technicians.
- Demonstrate respect and understanding for various clinical disciplines.
- Continuously seek professional development opportunities and maintain competencies.
- Identify personal learning needs through self-evaluation and set goals for improvement.
- Take responsibility for ongoing self-development and seek to enhance clinical knowledge.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Schedule: Full-Time, Days vary
Training: Candidates must be available for a six-week training program.
- Experience: Minimum one year in an acute care setting as a clinical technician or successful completion of an acute care clinical rotation in an accredited RN program.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Certification: BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
- Training: Attendance at a six-week training orientation is mandatory upon hire.
- Skills: Proficiency in English with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
