SLAP Inspection Department Job Description

Spherion is partnering with a local company in St. Mary's, Ohio to find a skilled SLAP Inspector for their quality control team.

Responsibilities:
  • Gain and Grow: Learn and master key skills such as de-burring, defect identification, and palletizing within your qualifying period.
  • Ensure Safety and Quality: Your attention to detail will help us maintain high safety and quality standards, ensuring every product meets our rigorous criteria.
  • Collaborate and Contribute: Work closely with your team to meet production goals, support new team members, and share your insights to help us continuously improve.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Six months of company service.
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
  • Ability to visually inspect products, including color discrimination.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Working Conditions:

Frequent standing, bending, pushing, and pulling during shifts. Continuous gripping, wrist, and arm movements for up to six hours per shift.

Ability to lift and handle wheels weighing between 13 to 40 lbs, with an average weight of 26.5 lbs.

Benefits:

Pay range: $17.10 per hour. Temp-to-hire position with benefits and a pay increase upon hire.
