Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as a local traveler. This opportunity allows LPNs to work in various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius from their home address, providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to perform testing to evaluate data reflective of resident status and provide the care needed. They will also demonstrate the ability to recognize problems, recommend solutions, and respond effectively to assist in an emergent situation.

This role is ideal for individuals who value autonomy, have excellent communication skills, and can work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a member of our healthcare team, you will contribute to the assessment of residents, administer medications or treatments as ordered, and provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed.

You will be responsible for documenting resident interactions, outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary. You will also have the opportunity to counsel residents, family members, and/or resident advocates on prevention and treatment plans under the direction of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician.

This position requires prior experience in long-term care and possession of a valid LPN license with the necessary skills to provide quality nursing services and patient support. We offer a competitive salary range of $24.00 - $36.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to residents
  • Contribute to the assessment of residents
  • Administer medications or treatments as ordered
  • Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed
  • Document resident interactions and outcomes
  • Counsel residents, family members, and/or resident advocates on prevention and treatment plans

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Associate degree in practical nursing preferred
  • Valid LPN license with State Nursing board and/or multi-state licensure privileges
  • Previous experience in long-term care required, 6 months preferred
