Overview:

The Technician will operate under the guidance of a designated supervisor within a specific discipline. Depending on their experience, the individual will assess, choose, and implement standard applicable methods. This role may encompass various functions including procurement, project oversight, non-destructive testing (NDT) inspection, surveying, scheduling, and construction inspection.

Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

A High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) is required, along with specialized training or college coursework, and a minimum of eleven (11) years of relevant experience, or a comparable combination of education and experience sufficient to effectively execute the essential duties of the position.

Licensing Requirements:
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License in accordance with State regulations.
Essential Skills:

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to walk up to one mile on industrial and construction sites in various weather conditions.

Job Requirements:

ELECTRICAL and INSTRUMENTATION (E&I) QUALITY INSPECTOR

Job Specifications:

A minimum of 10 years of experience in the gas and oil industry, specifically in instrumentation and electrical construction, installation, and maintenance. Experience in a quality assurance role is advantageous.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide quality inspection support for an operational facility as an Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) quality inspector within the Engineering Services department. The candidate will serve as the quality control and technical support for capital projects, including new installations, upgrades, and commissioning.
  • Communicate any deficiencies to the Project Manager and collaborate with Discipline Engineers and Craft Supervision to facilitate necessary corrective actions.
Preferred Experience:
  • Field instrumentation for process measurement (e.g., Pressure, Temperature, Level, and Flow) as well as specialty measurements and control systems.
  • Understanding of piping for instruments, signal transmission, and basic process and safety requirements for field devices.
  • Familiarity with Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and machinery control systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical equipment, including transformers and electrical distribution systems.
  • Ability to interpret electrical codes and standards.
  • Experience in observing and documenting construction activities.
  • Capability to review technical drawings and submittals.
  • Participation in start-up and commissioning processes.
  • Development and monitoring of quality plans for E&I equipment.
