Position Description - Food Services Aide

This part-time position at Hebron Avenue Elementary School requires a reliable and efficient individual to support our food services team. As a Food Services Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth meal operations by assisting with food preparation, inventory control, and upholding health and safety regulations.

This role involves working 20 hours per week over a 10-month period, from Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Your compensation will be $18.83 per hour.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist the food services team with meal preparation, managing inventory levels, and implementing proper food storage practices.
  • Adhere to strict health and safety guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure a clean environment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining open lines of communication with colleagues and ensuring seamless meal delivery.
Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must hold a high school diploma or equivalent and possess strong customer service skills. Previous experience in customer-facing roles and commercial food service is highly valued. While current ServSafe certification is desirable, it is not compulsory; however, we do expect you to be able to acquire it within 3 months of being hired.
