Job Title: Surgical Technologist

Lancaster General Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Job Summary:

The Surgical Technologist will assist surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures, maintaining a safe and efficient environment. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain operating rooms, including setting up equipment and supplies.
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient environment during surgical procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other medical staff.
  • Participate in the on-call system for emergency and urgency cases.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a surgical setting preferred.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in emergency situations.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
