Position Summary
The Field Service Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by developing and nurturing strong relationships with clients. This position involves supporting various equipment models across the Americas Region.
Key Responsibilities:
The Field Service Engineer will engage in a variety of tasks, including:
- Executing installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs on advanced additive manufacturing systems.
- Conducting comprehensive troubleshooting on complex issues.
- Coordinating logistics and resources for service and maintenance activities at customer locations.
- Collaborating with engineering teams to address intricate mechanical and electronic challenges.
- Preparing sites for service with minimal oversight.
- Documenting all service activities using electronic reporting systems.
- Effectively communicating machine status to clients and internal teams.
- Upholding quality systems in line with company standards.
- Completing administrative tasks promptly, including service bulletins and inspections.
- Maintaining regular communication with customer technicians regarding equipment status.
Qualifications:
- An Associate's degree with 2 years of technical experience, or a High School Diploma with 5 years of relevant field service experience.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot effectively at both subsystem and system levels.
- Strong communication skills in English (or local language) for client interactions.
- Ability to analyze test data and recommend design or process improvements.
- Understanding of technical documentation.
- Demonstrated capacity to work independently and maintain current knowledge of technology.
- Strong leadership and initiative.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service abilities.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
