Position Summary

The Field Service Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by developing and nurturing strong relationships with clients. This position involves supporting various equipment models across the Americas Region.

Key Responsibilities:

The Field Service Engineer will engage in a variety of tasks, including:
  • Executing installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs on advanced additive manufacturing systems.
  • Conducting comprehensive troubleshooting on complex issues.
  • Coordinating logistics and resources for service and maintenance activities at customer locations.
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to address intricate mechanical and electronic challenges.
  • Preparing sites for service with minimal oversight.
  • Documenting all service activities using electronic reporting systems.
  • Effectively communicating machine status to clients and internal teams.
  • Upholding quality systems in line with company standards.
  • Completing administrative tasks promptly, including service bulletins and inspections.
  • Maintaining regular communication with customer technicians regarding equipment status.
These responsibilities are essential for ensuring that customer production systems operate efficiently, produce high-quality outputs, and adhere to industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • An Associate's degree with 2 years of technical experience, or a High School Diploma with 5 years of relevant field service experience.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot effectively at both subsystem and system levels.
  • Strong communication skills in English (or local language) for client interactions.
Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to analyze test data and recommend design or process improvements.
  • Understanding of technical documentation.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work independently and maintain current knowledge of technology.
  • Strong leadership and initiative.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Note: Military experience is recognized as equivalent to professional experience.
