Under general supervision and in accordance with established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines, the Registered Nurse provides nursing care to patients.
The role involves planning and implementing nursing care, documenting nursing assessments, identifying and reporting situations that require further intervention, formulating and communicating a goal-directed plan of care, and ensuring patient rights are upheld.
The Registered Nurse is accountable for performing job duties in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital, as well as principles of quality improvement.
Required Qualifications- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
- BSN or ASN with a minimum of one year of experience required.
- At least one year of Operating Room experience is necessary.
- Experience in an Ambulatory/Outpatient Surgery Center is preferred.
- Prior experience in an Emergency Department or ICU is advantageous.
- BLS & ACLS certifications are required.
- PALS certification is preferred.
- This position does not require working on holidays or weekends.
