Job Title: Family Education Specialist

  • Conduct home visits to provide guidance on child health, safety, and nutrition.">
  • Develop and implement curriculum tailored to each child's needs, fostering learning and growth.">
  • Collaborate with parents to identify and utilize community resources, enhancing their ability to create a stimulating and safe environment for their children.">
  • Assess and document children's developmental progress, ensuring timely interventions when needed.">
  • Support pregnant women in preparing for the arrival of their infant, offering essential guidance and resources.">
  • Create engaging lesson plans that cater to the unique needs of each child or pregnant woman on your caseload.">
  • Foster positive relationships with families, establishing trust and open communication.">

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services, or a related field preferred.">
  • Home Visitor Child Development Associate credential or equivalent coursework required.">
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus.">
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.">
  • A valid Nebraska driver's license and good driving record necessary.">
  • Sensitivity to the challenges faced by low-income families and knowledge of local community resources.">
  • Ability to problem-solve, handle crises, and work with families from various cultural backgrounds.">
