Job Summary:

As an Installation Superintendent at KONE, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects. Your primary responsibility will be to plan, direct, and coordinate activities to guarantee site safety, project quality, and timely completion within the targeted timeframe. You will report to the Installation Superintendent, Installation Manager, Branch Manager, and/or District Installation Manager, and will be responsible for supervising Field Operatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate daily activities for new equipment installation.
  • Enforce KONE's Zero Tolerance safety policy at all work sites.
  • Accurately forecast installation hours and costs for each project throughout the installation process.
  • Follow established processes outlined in the KONE BPE tool and other KONE installation documentation.
  • Collaborate with general contractors and other trades to ensure project goals are met.
  • Manage multiple projects, coordinate start dates with customers, and ensure just-in-time delivery of equipment.
  • Support and ensure that field operatives are on task to meet customer project goals and KONE profitability targets.
  • Partner with Project Management to discuss project progress, issues, and action/recovery plans.
  • Partner with sales operations to ensure accurate costing of new project bids and ensure book orders contain the necessary expenses and labor hours to meet expected profit margins.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Interface with Union representation and KONE field labor relations.
  • Prepare monthly reports of expenditures and accountability within the field.
  • Generate monthly closeout reports and project profits and losses.
  • Become proficient in SAP and use it as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university or a 2-year degree from an approved technical school preferred. Equivalent work experience in the construction industry accepted in lieu of degree.
  • At least one year of experience and/or training in the construction industry, as well as one year of leading people towards a common goal.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, effectively manage projects, and overcome obstacles.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with Union employees and KONE customers.
  • Ability to understand and assess business needs, develop and implement action plans, effectively manage multiple projects, and lead personnel to deliver desired results.
