RESPONSIBILITIES
The role involves the installation, repair, and routine maintenance of remedial service packers, completion tools, liner hangers, and other rental equipment both in the workshop and on-site. Contribute to business development to enhance revenue through the promotion of Weatherford products and services. This position represents the senior level for Field Specialists, who engage in a demanding, hands-on role utilizing the latest technologies to deliver solutions for our clients. They are trained and certified to manage Special Services operations, among others. The specialist independently applies extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices across various assignments and related fields. They employ advanced techniques in modifying or extending theories and practices to fulfill assignments. This role may involve working on significant projects or multiple projects of moderate scope with complex features. Responsibilities include reviewing project documents for compliance and quality assurance, developing new techniques, improving processes, materials, or products, and acting as a technical specialist or advisor to management and staff. Additionally, the specialist oversees junior specialists in completing their tasks and receives guidance on overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver on-site services to clients.
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on company-owned and rental equipment in the field.
- Assist in testing, tuning, and adjusting equipment for optimal performance.
- Monitor and report on drilling and work-over rig activities.
- Ensure accurate and thorough completion of job reports in a timely manner.
- Provide assistance in the workshop and make deliveries when required.
- Be available for 24-hour on-call status.
- Participate in all Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), tailgate, and safety meetings related to ongoing operations.
- Adapt to changing work environments and conditions.
- Demonstrate basic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills as needed.
- Understand and comply with Weatherford's Quality Policy and all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures, and Workplace Instructions.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies of Weatherford.
- Complete work assignments to the highest quality standards.
- Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by the supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
- Experience: 3-4 years of relevant field experience.
- Education: Minimum of a High School diploma/GED. Strong oral and written communication skills. Preferred: 2 years of college education.
- Product Knowledge: General understanding of liner hangers and completions downhole tools.
- Mechanical Skills: Essential for performing repairs.
- Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Personal Attributes: Self-motivated and proactive, with strong communication skills.
- Ability to Follow Instructions: Must be capable of following instructions accurately.
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate closely with colleagues.
