Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Soldering Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in building precision optical/electrical/mechanical assemblies and be proficient in working under a microscope lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical components and assemblies under a microscope in a FOD and ESD controlled environment.
• Collaborate with design engineers on circuit board rework and assembly for prototyping or production per IPC J-STD-001 standards.
• Maintain inventory of hardware and electronic components, track status and location, and work with Quality Assurance for equipment calibration, shipping, and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Manage laboratory operations and handle design-related tasks.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience in building precision optical/electrical/mechanical assemblies to high-quality standards.
• Experience soldering electrical/electronic components and assemblies (previous IPC J-STD-001 certification is a plus).
• Previous experience working under a microscope with delicate materials.

Preferred Skills

• Comfortable using computers to retrieve drawings and procedures from document management systems.
• Exceptional organizational and documentation skills when working with electronics.
• Experience in procuring electronic components.
• Basics knowledge of circuits and electronic design processes.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $23-$31 per hour. Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits, and a 401K plan.
