Certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) to join our team at WellStone, North Alabama's most comprehensive behavioral healthcare provider. As a CRNP, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Job Summary:The CRNP will work in our adult psychiatric clinic, evaluating patients' health status, developing care and treatment plans, and collaborating with the treatment team to ensure comprehensive care. This is a full-time, first-shift position that requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:- Evaluate patients' health status, including assessing for suicidal/homicidal risk and instituting emergency measures as needed.
- Develop and implement individualized care and treatment plans, taking into account patients' medical histories, symptoms, and conditions.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure comprehensive care and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Prescribe legend drugs and order lab tests as necessary, using electronic prescription and medication management tools.
- Provide patient-centered care, recognizing cultural diversity and ensuring that patients and their families are full partners in decision-making.
- Counsel, educate, and assist consumers and their families to assume responsibility for self-care in the prevention of illness, health maintenance, recovery, and health restoration.
- Perform follow-up and medication monitoring for existing clients, as well as other duties as assigned.
- Masters of Nursing and licensed as RN and CRNP in Alabama.
- Clinical Specialty in the appropriate area of practice and working with adults.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language; Spanish helpful.
- Prefer a minimum of two years of experience in a medical environment.
- Computer literacy, including use of Microsoft Office, internet applications, and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Demonstrate the ability to work with a Multi-Disciplinary team and community partners.
- Knowledge of the DSM-V, ability to formulate diagnoses, and prescribe legend drugs.
- Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check and maintain current Licensing, training, and ethical requirements.
