San Ramon Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Perioperative Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patient populations in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient-centered care, ensuring the physical and emotional needs of patients are met.
- Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure seamless patient care.
- Assist with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory.
- Obtain supplies for individual cases and ensure operating room equipment is available and functioning.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities to enhance patient care and safety.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Two years of recent RN experience in surgery in an acute care setting or completion of an approved perioperative training program.
- Current California Registered Nurse License.
- Current BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
- Certification in specialty preferred.
Regularly exposed to the risk of contagious and bloodborne diseases.
Subject to varying and unpredictable situations.
Exposure to unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries, illness).
Emergency and crisis situations.
Subject to irregular hours.
Occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries.
Occasional exposure to radiation hazards, radioactive substances, anesthetic gasses, and biohazards.
Call shifts will be assigned and must have a response time of no more than 30 minutes.
