Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement engaging lesson plans in humanities and social studies that align with the school's educational objectives.
- Deliver knowledge and skills to students in accordance with the established curriculum.
- Tailor instructional methods to meet the diverse needs of students, accommodating various learning styles and abilities.
- Assess student performance and progress regularly.
- Maintain open communication with parents and administration regarding student development.
- Record and update student grades consistently in the Student Information System.
- Adhere to the policies and procedures set forth by the administration.
- Create a safe, clean, and supportive classroom atmosphere.
- Engage in all school meetings, training sessions, and orientations.
- Complete required professional development hours punctually.
- Submit all necessary documentation on time.
- Maintain classroom displays and bulletin boards effectively.
- Participate in the supervision of students during extracurricular activities.
- Keep accurate records for each student.
- Establish and uphold standards for student behavior using appropriate techniques.
- Continuously seek to enhance personal knowledge and skills while sharing expertise with colleagues.
- Follow directives from the Team Leader.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated strong Christian faith and values.
- A bachelor's degree or higher, or a minimum of three years of teaching experience in educational settings, or possess specialized skills and knowledge relevant to the subjects taught.
- Preferred qualifications include a degree in education and/or teaching certification.
- Proven knowledge of middle school curriculum and the ability to implement it effectively.
- Ability to manage a classroom effectively.
- Strong collaborative skills for interacting with students, parents, and administration.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Successful completion of a drug test and level 2 background check is required.
