Role Objective:
The Clinic Supervisor plays a crucial role in the planning, coordination, and oversight of all operational and financial elements at the Wesley Health Center. This position is pivotal in delivering high-quality, cost-effective patient care while providing strong leadership to clinic personnel. The Supervisor collaborates closely with the Clinic Administrator to ensure efficient support services and staff management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Contribute as a member of a multidisciplinary leadership team to advance JWCH's Strategic and Operational Plan.
  2. Articulate organizational goals and vision to clinic staff effectively.
  3. Ensure adherence to all JWCH policies and compliance with regulatory standards, including HIPAA regulations.
  4. Oversee the maintenance of site-specific insurances, licenses, certifications, and contracts.
  5. Assist the Clinic Administrator in formulating and executing departmental objectives, policies, procedures, budgets, and reporting mechanisms.
  6. Encourage a collaborative approach to delivering quality, cost-efficient care with a focus on patient satisfaction.
  7. Supervise clinic staff to guarantee effective and efficient service delivery, providing necessary training and support to maintain high employee satisfaction.
  8. Manage provider schedules and patient appointments, ensuring optimal access and implementing necessary adjustments.
  9. Work alongside the Clinic Administrator to enhance provider satisfaction and address any provider-related concerns.
  10. Monitor the impact of patient growth on facility space and propose necessary expansion or enhancement projects, ensuring a professional environment that meets patient expectations.
  11. Facilitate quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with Quality Assurance teams to ensure high standards of patient care.
  12. Coordinate with the billing department to ensure timely processing of encounters.
  13. Increase the visibility of the health center through active community engagement and participation in relevant organizations.
  14. Engage in organizational and ad-hoc committees as required.
  15. Provide regular updates on operational issues, opportunities, and challenges to the Operations Leadership Team.
  16. Assess patient satisfaction through various feedback mechanisms and respond appropriately.
  17. Strive to meet customer service standards while performing additional duties as assigned.
  18. Other responsibilities as designated by the Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred, along with a minimum of three years of experience in healthcare management; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
  2. Knowledge of Federal, State, and local funding for health services is essential.
  3. Experience working with diverse clients and staff from various socio-economic and cultural backgrounds is required.
  4. Previous supervisory experience is mandatory.
  5. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required.
  6. Experience in a Community Health Care Center is highly advantageous.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  8. Strong leadership capabilities, with a proven ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  9. Comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and quality improvement processes.
  10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
