Role Objective:
The Clinic Supervisor plays a crucial role in the planning, coordination, and oversight of all operational and financial elements at the Wesley Health Center. This position is pivotal in delivering high-quality, cost-effective patient care while providing strong leadership to clinic personnel. The Supervisor collaborates closely with the Clinic Administrator to ensure efficient support services and staff management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute as a member of a multidisciplinary leadership team to advance JWCH's Strategic and Operational Plan.
- Articulate organizational goals and vision to clinic staff effectively.
- Ensure adherence to all JWCH policies and compliance with regulatory standards, including HIPAA regulations.
- Oversee the maintenance of site-specific insurances, licenses, certifications, and contracts.
- Assist the Clinic Administrator in formulating and executing departmental objectives, policies, procedures, budgets, and reporting mechanisms.
- Encourage a collaborative approach to delivering quality, cost-efficient care with a focus on patient satisfaction.
- Supervise clinic staff to guarantee effective and efficient service delivery, providing necessary training and support to maintain high employee satisfaction.
- Manage provider schedules and patient appointments, ensuring optimal access and implementing necessary adjustments.
- Work alongside the Clinic Administrator to enhance provider satisfaction and address any provider-related concerns.
- Monitor the impact of patient growth on facility space and propose necessary expansion or enhancement projects, ensuring a professional environment that meets patient expectations.
- Facilitate quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with Quality Assurance teams to ensure high standards of patient care.
- Coordinate with the billing department to ensure timely processing of encounters.
- Increase the visibility of the health center through active community engagement and participation in relevant organizations.
- Engage in organizational and ad-hoc committees as required.
- Provide regular updates on operational issues, opportunities, and challenges to the Operations Leadership Team.
- Assess patient satisfaction through various feedback mechanisms and respond appropriately.
- Strive to meet customer service standards while performing additional duties as assigned.
- Other responsibilities as designated by the Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred, along with a minimum of three years of experience in healthcare management; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and local funding for health services is essential.
- Experience working with diverse clients and staff from various socio-economic and cultural backgrounds is required.
- Previous supervisory experience is mandatory.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required.
- Experience in a Community Health Care Center is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong leadership capabilities, with a proven ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and quality improvement processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
