We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Oncology Infusion Center team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in the Oncology Infusion Center, ensuring a high level of patient satisfaction and comfort.
- Monitor patients during treatments and infusions, identifying and addressing any potential complications or concerns.
- Deliver patient education on disease entities, chemotherapy, and management of chemo-related side effects, promoting informed decision-making and empowerment.
- Collaborate with the Oncology Infusion Center Coordinator, Medical Oncologist, and patient's physician to ensure seamless communication and care coordination.
- Participate in performance improvement and quality initiatives, driving excellence in patient care and outcomes.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a strong medical-surgical background.
- Current unrestricted Minnesota Registered Nurse license.
- Ability to obtain the ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider Card within 6 months of hire and renew after two years.
- Opportunity to obtain certification as an Oncology Certified Nurse after a minimum of 2000 hours of adult oncology nursing practice.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with others, promoting a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Basic computer knowledge, with proficiency in relevant software and systems.
