Position Overview:
A Masters Level Clinician operates under general oversight, implementing evidence-based methodologies aligned with nationally recognized standards to alleviate symptoms and enhance recovery for individuals in need of services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure comprehensive and precise documentation of client interactions and treatment services to comply with agency, state, and professional standards.
- Conduct initial assessments that accurately reflect client strengths and challenges, leading to a DSM diagnosis.
- Develop person-centered treatment plans articulated in consumer-friendly language, incorporating the client's goals and measurable objectives.
- Participate in on-call rotations as required and undertake additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A Master's degree from an accredited institution in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling, or eligibility to graduate within a specified timeframe.
- Minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health issues, or serious emotional disturbances; internships are considered valid experience if documented.
- Possession of a valid State of Michigan Limited or Full Masters Social Worker license, Limited or Full Marriage and Family Therapist License, Limited or Full Professional Counselor license, or Temporary or Limited Masters Psychologist license, or Full Psychologist License within a specified timeframe.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential for fulfilling job responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
- Lived experiences with mental health issues, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders are valued.
- Individuals in recovery and those with military service experience are also appreciated.
Work Environment:
- The role primarily involves sedentary tasks with occasional lifting of objects weighing up to thirty-five pounds.
- Work locations may vary, with potential travel required within the designated area.
