Patient Care Coordinator

About the Job:
The ICU Support Specialist will be part of a dynamic team, providing exceptional support to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) staff. This role involves assisting with patient care activities and maintaining accurate records under the guidance of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supports the nursing team with clerical duties, ensuring timely completion of necessary forms and communications.
- Accurately transcribes physicians' orders and updates patient records.
- Maintains a high level of customer service and ensures patient confidentiality.
- Coordinates patient transportation and provides general support to the nursing team.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or completion of one year of clinical experience in an accredited RN nursing program is required.
- Previous experience in an acute care environment is an asset.
