About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team at GHD Group. As an Environmental Sustainability Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the environmental sustainability of our projects and operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical and project management services to our clients on environmental sustainability projects
  • Prepare technical reports, proposals, and specifications, including cost estimates and budgets
  • Compile, reduce, interpret, and evaluate data to environmental regulatory standards
  • Interact with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and service providers
  • Conduct environmental sampling and monitoring for various media and contaminants
  • Participate in a proactive safety culture of continuous improvement
  • Client engagement and stewardship
  • Complex problem solving for environmental remediation and economic decision making
  • Balancing scope, schedule, and budget to produce the best results for our clients
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Applied Science (Engineering, Geology, or Science)
  • 5-10 years' experience in environmental sustainability, including field, data evaluation, and interpretation, and technical report writing
  • Professional Designation/License (Engineer, Geologist, etc.) a plus
  • Self-starter, detail-oriented, and willingness to work in a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience preparing detailed regulatory work plans and reports for investigation, remediation, and closure
  • Understanding of multimedia remedial technologies for addressing various contaminants
  • Working knowledge of remediation systems and good general mechanical aptitude
  • Experience in coordinating and managing multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of site characterization, hydrogeologic analysis, and remediation of contaminants
  • Conduct research, collect and analyze data to prepare reports and documents
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
  • Interested in continuing professional development
  • OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification
  • Practice and maintain solid safety-minded behavior and practices
