## Job Title: Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life.

### Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist will work closely with patients to identify and meet their goals and needs. You will provide cost-effective treatments that help improve clients' motion and mobility, reduce the need for medications, and provide alternatives to surgery. Your expertise will be essential in developing care plans using a variety of treatment techniques, creating fitness and wellness-oriented programs tailored to patients' specific needs, and promoting clients' healthy lifestyles.

### Essential Functions

* Identify and meet patients' goals and needs
* Offer cost-effective treatments that help improve clients' motion and mobility
* Reduce the need for medications and provide alternatives to surgery
* Develop care plans using a variety of treatment techniques
* Create fitness and wellness-oriented programs tailored to patients' specific needs
* Provide quality, personalized, and evidence-based care and proven interventions
* Motivate patients during treatment to help them function optimally
* Promote clients' healthy lifestyles by improving strength, flexibility, and coordination
* Evaluate effects and monitor and communicate progress
* Consult and practice with other health professionals
* Document patient care services

### Physical and Mental Demands

* Normal physical ability
* Normal concentration and normal complexity of decision making
* High level verbal and written communication skills
* Above average ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

### Occupational Exposure

* High risk exposure to bloodborne pathogens and chemical hazards

### Job Qualifications

* High School Diploma or GED equivalent
* Graduate from an Accredited Physical Therapy University
* Current Florida Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist license
* Hand Therapist Certification
* Current American Heart Association BLS
* Strong customer service orientation
* Basic computer proficiency
* Strong team player
