About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital X-Ray Technician to join our team as a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist.

This role will involve performing portable digital x-rays, ultrasounds, EKGs, holter monitors, echocardiograms, and dopplers at patient locations such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, correctional institutions, residential homes, and other settings.

The ideal candidate will have experience operating portable radiologic equipment and be able to work safely without causing harm or risk to self, others or property.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Travel to patient locations to perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including portable x-rays, ultrasounds, EKGs, holter monitors, echocardiograms, and dopplers.
  2. Operate portable radiologic equipment at patient locations, ensuring safe work practices and following all company protocols.
  3. Collect and verify required order documentation and patient information prior to procedures.
  4. Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging exams.
  5. Determine exposure factors based on height, weight, body part, and degree of penetration required.
  6. Demonstrate safe work practices, including safe driving, radiation safety, and ALARA principles, infection control, use of appropriate personal protective equipment, and safe operation of x-ray generators and associated equipment.
  7. Process images and review them for diagnostic quality prior to transmission.
  8. Transmit images and all required associated documentation in a timely manner according to company protocols.
  9. Complete all forms and maintain records, visit logs, and reports of work performed according to standard protocols.
  10. Maintain equipment and assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving as directed by Company management or Service Department personnel.
  11. Take good care of vehicle, ensuring it is well-stocked with necessary supplies.
  12. Perform training and orientation of other employees upon request by management.
  13. Act professionally and exhibit courtesy, friendliness, and a positive attitude when interacting with co-workers, patients, patient family, client staff, physicians, and others.
  14. Follow direction and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  15. Communicate positively and professionally with everyone.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $55,000 per year, plus shift differentials and on-call pay.
