Job Summary

Pfeiffer Vacuum is seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team. As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and services to other groups within the engineering department. Your primary function will be to create detailed 3D models, component part models, assemblies, fabrication drawings, and machine detail drawings using SolidWorks for GMP processing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and review designs for mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify design requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs.
  • Provide technical support and training to other engineering department personnel as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in mechanical design and engineering.
  • Participate in the development of system instruction manuals and other technical documentation.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
  • Two to four years of experience in mechanical engineering, drafting, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and other CAD software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
