Position Title: GIS Technician

Company: Insight Global

Contract Duration: Initial term of 4 months with potential for extension

Location: Berkeley, CA (4 days a week)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience utilizing ArcGIS and ArcMap software

Job Responsibilities:


• Digitize and update existing building evacuation plans


• Transform building footprints and as-built drawings from AutoCAD (.dwg) into ArcGIS feature layers (.gdb)


• Geo-reference AutoCAD files within the ArcGIS environment


• Conduct meetings with Building Asset Managers to evaluate current evacuation maps


• Revise and confirm the accuracy of evacuation maps


• Print and distribute updated evacuation maps

Compensation for this role may vary based on various factors, including skills, experience, and educational background.

Benefit packages for this position will commence on the 31st day of employment and will include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as options for HSA, FSA, and DCFSA accounts, along with access to a 401k retirement plan with employer matching.
