CLASS TITLE: E Sports Coordinator

BASIC FUNCTION:

Oversee and facilitate various interscholastic electronic sports programs within secondary educational institutions.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:

  1. Enhance the visibility of electronic sports within the educational community.
  2. Design and implement the assigned electronic sports program.
  3. Organize and manage practice sessions effectively.
  4. Instruct participants on essential skills, teamwork, strategies, and the rules governing the games.
  5. Promote sportsmanship and self-discipline among participants.
  6. Verify the eligibility of participants, ensuring compliance with necessary requirements.
  7. Serve as a positive role model, providing emotional support, patience, and guidance to students.
  8. Conduct focused training sessions with small groups of participants.
  9. Advise on the procurement of equipment, supplies, and uniforms to ensure the health and safety of participants.
  10. Perform additional duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

KNOWLEDGE OF:
  1. Fundamentals of various electronic sports.
  2. Health and safety standards.
  3. Effective interpersonal communication skills, demonstrating tact and courtesy.
ABILITY TO:
  1. Assist in coaching one or more electronic sports.
  2. Comprehend and execute both oral and written instructions.
  3. Interpret and apply rules, regulations, policies, and procedures accurately.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Any combination equivalent to: a high school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate, a minimum of 64 semester hours from an accredited college or university, and one year of experience in coaching within an educational athletic program.

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Successful completion of necessary background checks, training in health awareness, and current certifications in first aid and CPR.
