Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced MRI Technologist to join our team. As a travel MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing MRI diagnostic imaging procedures on patients of all ages, assisting in the diagnosis of patient illness, and working collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI diagnostic imaging procedures on patients, adhering to department procedures and protocols
  • Locate and record internal elements of the body, identifying any anomalies indicative of disease, injury, or other medically significant conditions
  • Adjust equipment and calm patients to eliminate test artifacts
  • Monitor patients for potentially dangerous physical and emotional changes
  • Evaluate test results for clarity and accuracy
  • Review tests with peers and physicians
  • Inform physicians of preliminary findings as requested
  • Distribute completed test results to physicians and service providers
  • Prepare diagnostic information for physician interpretation
  • Maintain patient charts, enter diagnosis and billing codes, log data into patient information systems, and update file systems for tests performed
  • Clean and sterilize equipment and workspace
  • Recognize equipment malfunctions and adjust equipment or write referrals for repair
  • Instruct patients in pretest preparation, answer questions, and explain procedures
  • Comply with Siemens, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures
  • Maintain equipment according to Infection Control procedure
  • Maintain technical competency through continued education and participation in Siemens training programs
  • Administer contrast agents according to site-specific protocols
  • Maintain current Permits to Practice in all states in which services are performed
  • Perform equipment quality checks and troubleshoot problems
  • Follow quality assurance guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Perform additional duties as required
Requirements
  • Clinical Radiographer background with a minimum of 2 years MRI clinical experience required
  • Siemens equipment experience required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to interact with client personnel and team members in an autonomous, responsible, professional, and ethical manner
  • Must be flexible, reliable, and demonstrate sound judgment and initiative
