Job Title: Plant Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Plant Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Peerless Chain. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring the efficient operation of our plant facilities.

Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per annum (depending on experience)

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in maintenance and repair, with experience working with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and repair of plant equipment, including machinery, pumps, and valves
  • Troubleshooting and fault-finding to identify and resolve equipment issues
  • Performance of routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubrication
  • Assistance with new equipment installations and upgrades
  • Collaboration with other teams to ensure smooth plant operations
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A 2-year technical degree in a relevant field, such as maintenance or engineering
  • At least 2 years of experience in a maintenance or industrial setting
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Experience with welding and metalworking processes
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights
