**Job Summary:**
Nutritionist I at UTMB Health provides expert nutritional guidance and services to patients, families, and community groups. This role is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive nutritional programs that promote healthy eating habits and disease prevention.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Plan, organize, and coordinate nutritional programs to meet the needs of diverse patient populations.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care that align with other health services.
- Evaluate patient outcomes and provide follow-up continuity of care to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Provide education and training to patients and families on healthy eating principles, nutrition, and food selection.
- Collaborate with community groups to promote healthy lifestyles and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate records of patient counseling and program evaluations.
- Adhere to internal controls and quality standards established for the department.
- Perform related duties as required to support the team.
**Work Schedule:**
This role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends, with a willingness to work until at least 6pm for clinic hours. Travel may be required for training and coverage.
