Flexibility in scheduling is essential, with availability required during evenings, weekends, and peak seasons.

Key Responsibilities

Comprehensive Cleaning Duties
  • Thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including the auditorium, backstage, dressing rooms, rehearsal studios, restrooms, and office spaces.
  • Efficiently collecting and disposing of waste.
  • Performing sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming tasks.
  • Maintaining cleanliness in restrooms, office areas, and kitchen facilities.
  • Ensuring proper floor care and upkeep.
  • Polishing glass and stainless steel surfaces.
  • Executing additional cleaning tasks as assigned.
Event Support Responsibilities
  • Transporting, setting up, and dismantling furniture, signage, receptacles, and other materials for various events.
  • Assisting with the organization and storage of equipment owned by New York City Center, including tables, chairs, and podiums.
Position Requirements

Essential Experience
  • A minimum of 1 year of cleaning experience in environments such as buildings, performance venues, hotels, or healthcare facilities.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Physical stamina to navigate stairs, bend, squat, and stand for extended periods.
  • Experience in floor care, including stripping, scrubbing, and buffing, is preferred.
