Job Summary
A Service Writer/Assistant Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences at Midas GRANBURY 5134. This role involves greeting customers, collecting information, creating estimates and repair orders, selling services and repairs, ordering parts, and coordinating transactions to ensure a smooth customer experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills to drive the team towards timely and accurate estimates, higher quality repairs, and increased customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Compile accurate estimates and review them with customers, keeping them informed about vehicle status and ordering parts as needed.
- Greet customers and answer phones in a professional and friendly manner.
- Perform all office duties, including cashing out customers, posting vendor invoices, and handling paper flow.
- Follow up with customers, calling upcoming appointments and checking on customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and maintain office cleanliness and adhere to standards.
- Monitor and maintain shop vehicles, ensuring they are clean, maintained, and repaired.
- Communicate with Management, Office Staff, and Customers as needed.
- Operate vehicles and trailers safely and responsibly, promoting positive customer relations by maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Assist in maintaining shop and office appearance and safety standards.
- Assist with inventory and stock, retrieving parts as needed.
- Follow all company safety, procedure, and environmental rules.
Work Schedule
- Shop hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
- Arrival time is at least 15 minutes before the start of the shift, and flexibility to stay up to 30 minutes after closing to complete end-of-day tasks.
- This position requires working Saturdays, with one day off during the week to maintain a 5-day workweek schedule and promote work-life balance.
- Saturdays are low-production days, focusing on general service, pick-up, drop-off, and parts-only counter sales.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
Benefits
