Nurse Specialist

Job Summary:
The Nurse Specialist at McLaren Health Care delivers high-quality patient care through the utilization of the nursing process. Collaborating with other healthcare team members, this role maintains standards for professional nursing practice and carries out functions according to hospital policy and standards of practice defined by professional and regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities:
• Assess the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients.
• Plan and implement nursing care according to patient and family needs.
• Make appropriate interventions based upon individual patient needs.
• Evaluate patient responses to nursing interventions.
• Assume personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, environment, and professional development.
Requirements:
• Associate Degree from an accredited Nursing program.
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• BLS certification.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited Nursing program and ACLS certification.
