Job Description

The GIS Data Scientist role will involve leveraging satellite and aerial imagery, LiDAR, and point cloud data from instruments on drones or aircraft and fusing this with geo-spatial coordinates for detection of crop fields and tree canopies. This capability will power our product as we move into areas demanding boundaries around crops (farms and fields) and carbon capture/sequestration.

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with product and service teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments.
  • Develop and code software programs, algorithms, and automated processes to cleanse, integrate, and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources.
  • Identify meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources; interpret and communicate insights and findings from analysis and experiments to product, service, and business managers.
